Mastermind Sessions as Think Tanks

Posted in Abundance on April 19th, 2009 by Birte – 2 Comments

The whole concept of mastermind groups and masterminding is something most of us hear about, some of us may be involved, but most of us think it is something best left for others. When I recently got together with some friends within the internet marketing framework, we began having mastermind meetings. This article has grown out of that and earlier experiences in group cooperation.

What is Mastermind and Masterminding
The word mastermind refers to brain, mind, intelligence. It also refers to contrive, design, invent, as well as originator and ringleader.
That’s quite a mouthful for one word.

A mastermind group that I will also call a think tank is a meeting of people with an intelligent brain or mind, inventing and designing. These people will most likely be the originator or ringleader in their field. A mastermind group is a workshop for thinkers in their business or industry, profession, or planning.

Advantages of Masterminding
When you have an idea and work on it alone, you only have your own mind to rely on. read more »

Comfortable - Outside The Comfort Zone

One of my readers, Eva, wrote me saying she had heard the expressions comfort zone and stretching, and did not understand them, what they are and how to use them. I thought that was such an awesome question and to honor her here is my answer.

What is the comfort zone

This is one of the simplest things for me to explain. Imagine yourself standing in the perfect middle of a perfect circle. The circle around you is your comfort zone. All that you have and that your are comfortable with and comfortable doing is within this circle. And that’s great.

What’s not great is that all the things that you want are outside the circle. read more »

Keywords and Challenges Make Success Stories

The Beginning of the Challenge

Never did I realize what I had gotten myself into, the challange, the work involved, the responsibility, the accountability to myself and others, but also the fun, the growth, the joy of expected and unexpected results and the joy of success stories to be told.

The 30 day challenge came as a result of learning a new business strategy within our community of entrepreneurs, internet marketing and personal growth - WEST (World Entrepreneurs Success Training). The three of us , the ABC of WEST, were talking about it in our weekly mastermind session.

Was this marketing strategy better than what we already knew? read more »

Is A Personal Perspective on Fulfillment Philosophical?

What is the totalĀ fulfillment of one’s life?

This is such an awesome question that I received from a reader, Fermin Camus . It’s a question that philosophers and other clever minds have been asking for centuries.

I don’t know if there is ONE answer to suit all. That’s what others have always tried to come up with. I can only give my perspective through my story and hope that you will find something in it.

This is not philosophical. These are conclusions from my perspective, using my instincts and intuition. And forgive me for answering through telling my story. read more »

Make room - I want to get in

Cleaning up for life

All too often I hear people saying they want this or that, they want more. They don’t understand why they can’t get it.
Now there can be many reasons, but one that I have learned through
personal experience is that our lives are already cluttered up, and there is simply not room for anything else.

Old Philosophy for Modern Living

The ancient Chinese space and energy code, Fung Shui, deals with this very clearly. If you want something new get rid of something old. The first time I used that advice I went in and cleaned out my service porch. I mean I cleaned it out … from all the old things that I had stuck there, thinking that maybe one day I will use it … to reordering the storage space … to getting rid of all the cobwebs, dust balls and what not.
Believe it or not … within two days some of the things I wanted came to me. How? I have no idea, because apart from cleaning the porch, I do not recall doing anything. read more »
