But before you do, I just want to add my bit: We have a tendency to see people through one lens, even though we know that we ourselves are multifaceted. I know I get upset when someone only sees one side of me, instead of the complete me. It is so easy to detect. All you have to do is listen for phrases like: “you always ….” or “you only….”
How unfair we are when we speak like that!

In the case of Michael Jackson, and many other celebrities for that, we tend to only see them through the eyes of the media. And we all know that the media is out for the sensation. The media lives on sensationalism.
I have talked about it before, but you know that I have a bone to pick with the media.
So whether you were a fan of Michael Jackson or not, let’s honor him as a person without the hyperbole of the media and the paparazzi. Let this be another lesson of life.
